Cattery One in a Million
"Every Bengal is Unique"

Welcome to our website! Thank you for your interest in our cattery. We are located in Hulst near the Belgian border in the Netherlands. We breed on a small scale, a few litters each year.  We breed the standard colors but the less common colors receives extra attention from us. With a personal preference for the Charcoal Bengal, we have a separate breeding program for the charcoal colors. You can view our breeding kings, queens and pet bengals by visiting their own pages in the menu.

Health

"Of course, at Cattery One in a Million, health comes first."

Health is of course our top priority... All our animals are therefore tested for various hereditary, transmissible and contagious disorders and diseases that can occur in Bengal. The diseases that receive our special attention are; Leucosis (FeLV), Cat AIDS (FIV), Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKdef), Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), Chronic Interstitial Nephritis (CIN) & Progressive Retinal Atrophy - Bengal (PRA-b) Our cattery is negative tested for harmful bacteria, worms and parasites including tritrichomonas fetus, giardia and coccidiosis. These tests are repeated periodically.
Cattery One in a Million - dierenkliniek de ark
Of course, a cattery cannot do without a good vet who is always there for us. We found these at the De Ark Animal Clinic in Terneuzen. Several veterinarians and assistants work in the veterinary clinic who can give our animals the best treatments and support by means of modern equipment. When we get there, we know for sure that they will do everything what's possible and or necessary. Vet Tiny also works here, who specializes in cats, breeding advice and breed-related disorders.
Cattery One in a Million - dierenradioloog Barbara Vandevelde Specialist HCM PKD
All our animals are periodically screened for hereditary diseases of the heart and kidneys. These tests must be performed by a specialist. We can contact Barbara Vandevelde for this. She is a recognized specialist affiliated with pawpeds and carries out all the necessary tests for us.
